1. Johnson Jakande Tinubu Park (JJT)
Hours: 9 am - 6 pm
Entrance: Free
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Johnson Jakande Tinubu Park (JJT) located in the heart of Ikeja, was commissioned by past governor, Akinwunmi Ambode in 2017. It is a recreational park with beautiful grass and lovely statues.

JJT has a large space where you can host outdoor parties, events, photoshoots, picnics, play games, and other fun stuff.
You can come with your food and drinks or buy from the vendors there. There are huts and other platforms to protect you from the weather. If you want to plan a budget-friendly fun activity, JJT is the perfect place for you.
2. Lekki Conservation Centre (LCC)
Hours: 9 am - 4 pm
Entrance Fee: N1500 - N2000
Location: Lekki, Lagos
Lekki is known as one of the happening areas in Lagos, so it is not surprising to find fun places there; Lekki Conservation Centre is one of these places.
Unlike most hangout spots in Lekki, the centre is one of those places where you can have fun without tearing your pocket. The natural resource conservation centre has side attractions such as a canopy walk, nature trails, bird watching, an educational centre, etc.

3. Freedom Park
Hours: 10 am - 10 pm

Location: Lagos Island, Lagos
Going back to parks, Freedom Park is the one park you want to go to. Freedom Park, formerly a colonial prison, was reconstructed to preserve Nigerian culture and heritage. The park has been awarded as one of the most fun places to visit in Lagos by several companies. There are a lot of fun things to do in Freedom Park.

You can visit the former prisons with artefacts and enjoy the exhibitions; Learn about your culture and heritage by visiting their museum.

4. Nike Art Gallery
Hours: 10 am - 6 pm
Entrance Fee: Free
Location: Lekki, Lagos
If you are a lover of art, Nike Art Gallery is the place for you. Art by different Nigerian artists are exhibited for free.
Sculptures are also showcased. Owned by Nike Davis-Okundaye, the four-story building also houses a textile that features over 7,000 pieces.

5. Apapa Amusement Park
Hours: 9 am - 6 pm
Lowest Ticket Fee: N500
Location: Apapa, Lagos
The mainland is not left out of the fun. Apapa Amusement Park, Nigeria’s Disneyland, is famous for being the number one place where families have fun.
Located in Apapa, the park offers a range of activities like carousel rockets, bumper cars, and pirate ships, among others.
The ticket prices for any of these fun experiences start at as little as N500. There is no entrance fee, so you can also walk around.

6. Badagry Heritage Museum
Hours: 9 am - 5 pm
Entrance Fee: N500
Location: Badagry, Lagos
Dedicated to the remembrance of over 554,000 slaves that were traded in and passed through Badagry during the slave trade era, the Badagry Heritage Museum showcases all the shackles, documents, and other monuments from that period.
There are also salvaged records that give us insights into our history.

It also displays Badagry’s culture and history. It has nine art galleries and a musuem where you can visit and learn while taking pictures and having fun.
7. Tarkwa Bay Beach
Hours: 9 am - 5 pm
Entrance Fee: N1500 to N5000
Location: Outskirts of Marina, Lagos
Boat ride to Tarkwa Bay: N1000
This list wouldn’t be complete without beaches. Tarkwa Bay is that beach where you can relax, have fun, and enjoy the beautiful weather on a small budget.
Tarkwa Bay also offers a break from the busyness of Lagos as you have to take a boat from your Marina.
